Meet our “Sitter of the Week” Hannah L.!

Hannah recently graduated from Missouri State University with her degree in early childhood education. She has nannied since 2013 for multiple families and has experience teaching preschool, substitute teaching (grades pre-k through 8th), and tutoring children needing extra support and guidance.

SelectSitter mom Whitney shared, “Hannah is always coming up with fun games and activities for my kids to do. My oldest will ask, ‘When is Hannah coming back?’ She has become like family to us.”

Meet our “Sitter of the Week” Haley B!

Haley is studying Physical Education at Missouri State University. After graduation, she would love to be a PE coach for k-12 students. She has been a full time nanny for more than a year as well as babysitter for ages newborn to 9 years old.

With all online courses this summer, she is looking to fill her schedule with babysitting and nanny jobs. This fall she has availability Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays any time.

SelectSitter mom Chris-Anne shared, “My kids adore Haley! She keep my rambunctious 7 and 9 year olds active, both physically and creatively. I trust that she is always going to be on time, which is very important to me. She is a very kindhearted, fun, and respectable person who I would recommend to anyone!

Meet our “Sitter of the Week” Abby!

Abby is studying Special Education at Missouri State University.. She loves children and is excited to start her career as a teacher. She has more than 5 years of experience in child care, including babysitting, camp counseling, and as a classroom aide at a daycare.

She has taken care of children ages 6 weeks through elementary age, as well as individuals 25 years and older with developmental disabilities. She is CPR and First Aid certified!

SelectSitter mom Sarah shared, “Abby is great! She’s laid back and flexible. My kids have a great time with her and ask for her to come back.”

Sarah is a student at Missouri State University studying special education. She has a passion for working with kids and enjoys helping out in a pinch! She is endorsed by moms and kids, alike!

SelectSitter mom Kari shared, “Our boys love when Sarah comes over because she finds creative ways to keep them entertained. They ask for her by name!”

SBJ: Innovation Boot Camp


Pick up the May 7 edition of the Springfield Business Journal to read how SelectSitter and three other local startups will take part in the Innovation Bootcamp through The eFactory’s third business accelerator cohort.

We are so excited to be part of this prestigious program and to kick off on May 14. We have many goals to further expand the app and provide even more benefits to parents and sitters. Stay tuned for details.

SelectSitter App accepted to the eFactory Accelerator Program


MEET-THE-FOUNDERS-800x450.pngSelectSitter is excited to announce we have been selected in the eFactory Accelerator Cohort #3.

Launched in 2017, the Accelerator  Program has graduated 9 other companies. For this year’s cohort, SelectSitter and three other selected companies will take part in a 12-week program made up of trainings and workshops, one-on-one meetings, KPI tracking, and more, to grow our app and experience. With this amazing investment, we will be able to explore new updates, enhancements, and who knows what else.
